Diplomatic Hunt is a book by the historian Daniel Koerfer .

The final report of the historians commission appointed by Joschka Fischer , published under the title “The Office and the Past”, triggered a debate in 2010/2011 on the role of the Foreign Office in the Third Reich and in the post-war period . The historian Daniel Koerfer, who teaches modern history at the Free University of Berlin , was one of the critics of the study, which the authority describes as a "criminal organization".

In “Diplomatic Hunt” he examined the history of the development of the Independent Commission of Historians and the report, as well as analyzing documents. It is based on confidential information from former and active diplomats , but also from those around the Fischer Commission.
