The Bedey Media GmbH is a publishing group based in Hamburg . Until 2019 it operated as Diplomica Verlag GmbH .

history

The publishing group, which today comprises six areas, emerged from the e-commerce company Diplomarbeit Agentur diplom.de , founded by Björn Bedey in 1996 .

The website www.diplom.de Bachelor + Master Publishing is the e-book portal of Diplomica Verlag and offers the free publication of academic theses with ISBN allocation. The program includes over 13,000 e-books. The content will not be revised.

The publishing house has been publishing specialist books and other academic texts since 2001 and offering them via stationary and online bookshops. The publishing group also includes Diplomica Fachverlag, Disserta Verlag, fabula Verlag, anchor academic publishing and bachelor + master publishing .

In 2008, the Imprint acabus Verlag added the areas of fiction , literature and non-fiction . There, for example, the authors Andreas Artur Reichelt , Michael E. Vieten , Markus Walther and Karsten Flohr are under contract. Igel Verlag, founded in 1987 with a focus on German-language literature of literary modernism from 1890 to 1933, was integrated into the publishing group in 2009. Disserta Verlag, which was also founded in 2009, can publish doctoral theses and series from universities without a subsidy for printing costs. Severus Verlag, founded in 2010, publishes new editions of scientific titles from the past centuries with editorial support. In 2019 Bedey Media took over the Frankfurt fiction publisher Dryas .

The publishing house is a member of the German Book Trade Association .
