Dirceu Xavier Francisco (born December 18, 1977 in Cabo Frio , Brazil ) is a former Brazilian soccer player.

Career

Dirceu started his career in 1996 with Fluminense FC . In the first eight years he was rather inconspicuous as a midfielder for the clubs Guarani FC , FC Maia under contract, he returned in 2000 to the club Fluminense FC. In 2001 he moved to CA Juventus for two years before canceling his contract in 2003 and signing a contract with EC Santo André in 2004 . With this club he also won the first title, the Copa do Brasil , and developed into a top midfielder. In 2004 he moved to Israel for four years, three years with Maccabi Haifa and one season with Maccabi Petach Tikwa . In 2009 he returned to the EC Santo André club and at the end of his career he was under contract with São Bernardo FC from 2009 to 2011 .
