The Diridon Station (colloquially often called San José Diridon or Downtown San José-Diridon Station ) is a long-distance and local train station in San José , USA . It's located at 65 Cahill Street. The station is a central transfer point in Santa Clara County and is located in downtown San José.
According to the operator Amtrak , 258,776 passengers used the station in 2013, which corresponds to 10.2 percent more passengers than in the previous year.

Train connections
The train is currently served by the following railroad companies: The Coast Starlight long-distance train provides connections to Union Station in Los Angeles on behalf of Amtrak . Caltrain serves downtown San Francisco as a regional train . The station is served by the tram line VTA Light Rail , which is operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority .
Future prospects
The long-term plan is to expand the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) public transport system to San José. This is a subway that runs partly underground and above ground. The route in downtown is to be largely underground. The opening of the new "Berryessa Station" is planned for 2018.
