Dirk Haarmann

Dirk Haarmann (born June 4, 1967 in Dorsten ) is a German municipal civil servant ( SPD ) and full-time mayor of the city of Voerde in the Wesel district .

After primary school Haarmann 1986 made his Abitur at the high school Petrinum Dorsten . At the Wesel district administration he was trained to become a qualified administrative administrator in the upper administrative service until 1989 . From 1992 to 1999 Haarmann also studied business administration at the Distance University in Hagen . He completed his studies with a degree in business administration . From 1989 to 2010 he worked in management positions in various areas at the Wesel district administration. In 2011 he was elected First Alderman of the City of Wesel .

Dirk Haarmann was elected Mayor of Voerde with 59.1% in the 2014 municipal elections on May 25, 2014 .

Haarmann is married and has two children. He has lived in Voerde with his family since 1993.
