Dirk Lukrafka (born November 20, 1968 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been the mayor of the city of Velbert since 2014 .

Lukrafka studied law at the University of Cologne after training as an industrial clerk in Essen . After professional positions in Ratingen and Essen, he worked for the technical operations in Velbert from 2004. In November 2013 he became city treasurer of the city of Velbert. He has been a member of the CDU Velbert since 2005, and was a candidate for mayor of the CDU in the 2014 local elections. On June 15, 2014, he prevailed in the required runoff election against the SPD candidate, Gerno Böll-Schlereth, with 55.2%.
