Dirk Schönstädt
Dirk Detlev Schönstädt (born September 8, 1960 in Kassel ) is a German lawyer .
Since November 29, 2016 he has been President of the Hessian Administrative Court .
Career
Schönstädt did military service and, after graduating from high school, studied Protestant theology and law in Marburg at the Philipps University . In 1994 he was appointed judge at the Administrative Court.
From 1997 to 2003 he was seconded to the State Court of Hesse as a research assistant until he moved to the Hessian Administrative Court as a judge. He was appointed Presiding Judge in January 2015 and Vice-President in June 2015.
On November 29, 2016, he was appointed President of the Hessian Administrative Court.
