Dirk Schiefen

Dirk Schiefen (born October 4, 1979 in Altenkirchen ) is a German trumpeter .

Life

Leaning learned to play the trumpet as a child. He attended the Hennef music school and was a member of the Buchholz wind orchestra . In 1992 he received the Herbert Roth Prize for the best young artist. A year later he was the winner of the national youth music competition as best trumpeter.

1996 took Dirk together with the Panflötistin Daniela de Santos for Switzerland at the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1996 in part. Her title Monte Cristallo achieved victory. After that both were partly on the road together. Nevertheless, Dirk Schiefen began studying at the Aachen University of Music . At the same time he started his solo career.

Dirk Schiefen's repertoire includes popular hits , but also classical works (e.g. Ave Maria ) and international evergreens (e.g. Frank Sinatra's My Way ).
