Disgusting perversion (engl. Repulsive twisting ) is a Bavarian Death metal band from Kaufbeuren . The style of music makes use of the elements of early death metal .

history

The foundations for the band were laid in 2013 as a solo project by Tobias Ruf.

The first line-up consisted of Claus Schubert (guitar), Tobias Ruf (guitar, programmed drums), Klaus Bergmann (bass), Stefan Brun (vocals) and Robin Kohler (drums).

In 2013 a song was recorded for a sampler, but it was never released with this line-up.

After the recordings, Stefan Brun and Robin Kohler left the band because there were disagreements within the band.

From 2014 Stefan Bauer took over the vacant vocal position. Since there was no replacement for the drums, a drum computer was used.

Nothing about that has changed in the years to come. Until the end of 2015 they played some gigs with bands like: Running Death , Indestructible, Anarchos, Entera, Revel in Flesh , Rogash , Ichorid and Contamination.

In 2015 the band released their first EP "Morbid Obsessions", which was released on Winterwolf Records .

In the same year Claus Schubert left the band and Simon Hörmann took over the rhythm guitar.

Disgusting Perversion played the first show abroad in 2016 in Reutte (Austria). November 2016, after a long search, they finally found a new drummer in Marcus Nagel.

At the Aaargh Festival 2017 the band played their first open air concert.

The last gig in 2017 was a special honor for the band. She was allowed to perform with the death metal band Revel in Flesh in Aalen . The bands Incarceration and Goath also took part in this concert .

Since 2018, the band has focused entirely on recording their first studio album.

At the beginning of 2020, Klaus Bergmann left the band for personal reasons. He has been replaced by Andreas Gabriel. The band's first album was released in June 2020.

style

The Canadian Gustavo Scuderi from theheadbangingmoose.wordpress.com describes the style of the band in a review of "Morbid Obsessions" as a "stampede", which mainly indicates the band's influences. This is how the bands Death , Obituary and Cannibal Corpse are called. Joxe Schaefer from crossfire-metal.de emphasizes that Tobias Ruf's guitar solos are used more often than usual in the genre. From Spain on the website rockarollazine.blogspot.com , Javier Salaverry also describes the band's influences, but emphasizes that these are not just bluntly copied.
