Dispondeus

The Dispondeus ( Greek  δισπόνδειος dispondeios "double spondee") is in the ancient Verslehre one of four long syllables existing metrical foot . The scheme is:

It corresponds to a double spondeus (- -) and appears as a clause, for example in Cicero .
