Pyrrhichius
A Pyrrhichius ( ancient Greek πυρρίχιος pyrrhíchios derived from Waffentanz, the πυρρίχη Pyrrhiche also παρίαμβος paríambos and δίβραχυς díbrachys , German , two short ' , latin pyrrhichius or bibrevis ) referred to in the ancient Verslehre a metrical foot consisting of two short syllables is, after the Scheme ◡◡. It is thus a brachysyllabus and the shortest verse foot ever.
