Prokeleusmatikos
The Prokeleusmatikos (also Prokeleusmatikus ; Greek προκελευσματικός even τετράβραχυς tetrabrachys ) is in the ancient Verslehre a rarely used composite, four-membered metrical foot consisting of four short syllables there, so a so-called Brachysyllabus . The scheme is ◡◡◡◡. It arises from the resolution of the length in a dactyl (—◡◡) or anapaest (◡◡—) to two short syllables; it is not attested as an independent meter.
