Disposition system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A disposition system is an IT system that is intended to support routine decisions in companies. The decisions are made using formal decision-making models and procedures. The decisions only affect a short-term decision horizon and have no strategic orientation.

The disposition system is often integrated into the ERP system ( e.g. SAP , Infor ).

Autonomous disposition systems receive the master and movement data via an interface from the ERP system. External disposition systems are characterized by high flexibility and speed. In addition, disposition systems ensure qualitative dynamization, for example in the safety stocks or in the automatically created order or production proposals. With precise sales forecasts and dynamic safety stocks, they ensure inventory management based on requirements. By outsourcing the data to an external system, important planning decisions can be simulated and analyzed. Orders or production orders are only triggered when a decision is assigned to the ERP system.
