DIVA is an Austrian fashion magazine that appears nine times a year by Styria Medienhaus Lifestyle GmbH & Co KG. The product expansion Diva Wohnen appeared for the first time in 2009 and the Dandy supplement has been published every six months since March 2018 , which is also included in the daily newspaper Die Presse am Sonntag. Since February 2019, the Diva has also been published in German-speaking Switzerland with content partly contributed by a Swiss editorial team.

history

The Diva was founded in autumn 1989 to report on the growing Austrian and Viennese fashion scene. The first cover model was Nieves Elorduy, photographed by Sepp Gallauer. In the 1990s, the cover featured models such as Linda Evangelista , Nadja Auermann , Naomi Campbell , Eva Herzigova and Cordula Reyer . Kate Moss was also photographed in the Diva, in autumn 1991 she presented the new fashion. Another celebrity who worked for the diva is Desirée Treichl-Stürgkh , former fashion director and later known as the hostess of the opera ball and publisher of HOME magazine. The authors of the diva included Claudia Stöckl , Elisabeth Sereda and fashion designers such as Wolfgang Joop and Gabriele Strehle . Since 2005, the diva has been part of the international Austrian media group Styria Media Group , where it is part of Styria Medienhaus Lifestyle GmbH & Co KG. The magazine had eleven editors-in-chief since 1989, including Andrea Fehringer (1991–1992).

Frequency of publication, circulation and reach

DIVA appears nine times a year with a print run of 35,000 copies (as of 2019). According to the Working Group Media Analyzes MA 18/19 - Women's Magazines Total, the Diva in Austria has 83,000 readers per issue.
