Nadja Auermann (born March 19, 1971 in Berlin ) is a German photo model and actress .

life and career

The high school graduate was discovered in Berlin in 1990 while shooting for a travel magazine. In October 1991 Ellen von Unwerth took photos of Auermann for the UK edition of Vogue magazine , and in September 1993 she appeared on the front cover of the US edition of that magazine.

Auermann has appeared on the covers of most fashion magazines and has worked with almost all of the major fashion designers . She is considered the best-known German photo model alongside Claudia Schiffer , Heidi Klum and Tatjana Patitz . In 2003 she increasingly withdrew from the modeling business and in the following year she took on her first leading role in the television thriller Sleeping Beauty's quiet death .

Auermann has entries in the Guinness Book of Records in 1997 and 1999 as a mannequin with the longest legs (112 cm). However, this record has since been broken.

In the course of her career, Auermann has worked with photographers Steven Meisel , Helmut Newton , Mario Testino , Richard Avedon , Patrick Demarchelier , Irving Penn , Herb Ritts , Craig McDean , Steven Klein , Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin , Mario Sorrenti , Paolo Roversi , Juergen Teller and Peter Lindbergh worked.

Personal

From 1998 to 2005 Auermann was married to fellow actor Wolfram Grandezka . They have one son. She has a daughter from a previous relationship with media manager Olaf-Björn Tietz . She has two daughters (* 2010, 2013) with a psychiatrist from Bonn .

In December 2011 Auermann was convicted of tax evasion at the Tiergarten District Court in Berlin and had to pay a fine of 90,000 euros. In the appeal process before the Berlin district court in March 2015, she was again fined 49,500 euros for tax evasion.
