The tournament was divided into a preliminary round and a final round. The eight participating teams first play a simple round-robin tournament . The first four played for the title in Poule Haute , the last four in Poule Basse against relegation. The total of the team points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat), then the direct comparison and then the number of board points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a Draw, 1 point for a loss, 0 points for a loss without a fight). For the final placement, both the points from the preliminary round and the points from the final round were taken into account.
Game dates
The competitions were held on September 16, October 21, November 11 and 25, December 9, 2018, January 13, February 10, March 10 and 17 and April 28, 2019. The last round was central in Differdange , the others decentralized with the participating associations.
Preliminary round
Before the last lap, three of the four places in the Poule Haute were taken, the decision about the last starting place was made in favor of Cercle d'échecs Dudelange.
