Dixielanders Hall

The Dixie Landers Hall is an Austrian Dixieland - band from Hall in Tirol .

Band history

The formation was founded in 1987 in Hall in Tirol; Founding members were Franz Posch , Bernhard Fauster and Bertl Posch. The band formed and played in the traditional line-up with trumpet , clarinet , trombone , banjo , double bass and drums . After a few months the first concert took place in the Innsbruck greenhouse .

The style that the Dixielanders Hall plays is Dixieland in the broadest sense. The main focus of the Dixielanders Hall repertoire is the Chicago style . The six musicians have released seven CDs since 1987, including two live recordings and a DVD, a recording of the concert at the Bratislava Jazz Days 2004.

The current line-up at Dixielanders Hall (2013) consists of Bernhard Nolf (trumpet), Bernhard Fauster (clarinet, saxophone), Benny Schafferer (trombone), Bertl Posch (banjo, guitar), Georg Nolf (sousaphone, double bass) and Jörg Höllwarth ( Drums).
