Djurås is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Dalarnas län and the historical province of Dalarna . The central town of the municipality of Gagnef is south of Lake Siljan . At Djurås, Västerdalälven and Österdalälven also flow together.

etymology

The name of the place comes from an older name for the river Västerdalälven, which spells it Görälven . Due to the confluence of the two rivers at Djurås and da os , which is sometimes transformed into ås , which means estuary, the name Djurås refers to the mouth of the Görälven .
