Dmitri Nikolajewitsch Kokarew ( Russian Дмитрий Николаевич Кокарев ; born February 18, 1982 in Penza ) is a Russian chess player .

At the U14 European Championship in 1996 in Rimavská Sobota , he finished second, the U18 World Championship in 1999 in Oropesa del Mar , he was able to win. In the Russian team championship Kokarew played for Polytechnik Nizhny Tagil until 2014 , and since 2015 he has played for the team from Siberia Novosibirsk , with which he became the Russian team champion in 2015 and won the European Club Cup . In June 2010 he won the 3rd Mayor's Cup in Mumbai unbeaten with 9 points from 11 games. In 2012 he also played team chess in Bangladesh forDuronto Rajshahi , as well as at the Spanish team championship 2018 for Oromana Schneider Electric . In 2013 he finished second behind Pavel Eljanow at the Chigorin Memorial in Saint Petersburg .

Dmitri Kokarew has held the title of chess grandmaster since January 2007, he achieved the norms for this at the Chigorin Memorial in October 2004 in St. Petersburg , at the Moscow Open in March 2005 in Moscow (with overachievement) and at a grandmaster tournament in August 2006 in Saratov . Its Elo rating is 2601 (as of November 2019), its highest to date was 2651 in January 2017.
