Dmitri Petrovich Mussin

Dmitri Petrovich Mussin ( Russian Дмитрий Петрович Мусин ; born November 19, 1920 , † September 23, 2002 ) was a Soviet ambassador .

Life

Mussin was a member of the CPSU and studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1945.

In 1947, Mussin entered the foreign service and was deployed first in Moscow , then in Ottawa (1948–1951), Moscow (1951–1955), again in Ottawa (1955–1959) and in Moscow (1959–1965) and finally from 1965 to 1968 as Counselor in London. After that, Mussin was transferred back to Moscow, where he stayed until 1972 and from 1970 was also deputy head of the Europe II department.

Then Mussin was appointed ambassador to Canberra from July 14, 1972 to January 14, 1975 and was also responsible for Suva , Fiji from May 15, 1974 to May 12, 1975 . He was then transferred back to Moscow from 1975 to 1978, this time as ambassador, and then took over the embassy in Kingston (Jamaica) from March 23, 1978 to March 25, 1987 , where he was from April 23, 1980 to April 29 , 1987 . July 1982 was also responsible for St. George’s .
