Dokeos is a learning platform . The software was written in PHP , MySQL serves as the database backend . SCORM packages can also be imported. Users, groups and classes can be created using CSV or XML files via the administration front end .

history

Dokeos is a spin-off from Claroline , carried out in 2004 by one of the main developers. Since then there have been two other non-free versions in addition to the open source version. This led to resentment in the developer and user community and in early 2010 Chamilo split off.

Standards

Dokeos can also be linked to LDAP . Since the 1.6 release, Dokeos has also tried to meet the standards of the W3C ( XHTML and CSS ). JavaScript is required, and due to its compatibility with SCORM, frames in the learning path module are also used, depending on the intended use .

development

The development of Dokeos is complemented internationally by universities, schools, organizations and individuals according to established basic rules. Since the development is controlled centrally, but the coordination is handled by the developers, the roadmap is also very accurate. The agenda and all developer meetings are documented and can be viewed. Dokeos has its own wiki for documentation .
