Dolfi Müller

Dolfi Müller (born May 13, 1955 ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ). He was Mayor of Zug from 2007 to the end of November 2018 .

He is president of the Theater-Casino Foundation, the Foundation of Friends of the Zuger Kunsthaus, the Culture Commission, the Board of Directors of the Pension Fund, the voting office, the management group of the emergency organization, the Baar Spital Foundation and the Wildspitz Foundation. As city president, Müller was the successor to Christoph Luchsinger ( FDP ), who had held the office since 1999. Müller's successor is Karl Kobelt (FDP).

In connection with a criminal investigation against the former Zug city councilor and CFO Ivo Romer, the magazine Die Weltwoche raised allegations against Müller in December 2012. He knew about the alleged embezzlement of Romers and possibly covered them up. As a result, a parliamentary commission of inquiry (PUK) investigated the events at the time. The PUK report was presented on August 5, 2014. Dolfi Müller was largely exonerated from the allegations made against him.

Dolfi Müller has the title lic. iur. and lic. oec. and holds a law degree . He is a lecturer in economics and law at the Zug Cantonal School. His hometown is Walenstadtberg . Müller is married and has two children.
