Dolmen Pierre du Vert-Galant
The dolmen Pierre du Vert-Galant (also called Pierre Ver-Valland ) is a dolmen in Croterie, about 4.0 km northwest of the center of the town of Tavers in the far west of the Loiret department , on the border with the Loir-et-Cher department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
A large capstone, supported by several bearing stones, the upper edges of which are visible, rests on a hill in the field.
The dolmen was classified as a Monument historique in 1948 .
Nearby is the La Pierre Tournante dolmen .
