The 2001 restored Dolmen de la Pierre-Fade ( German  Feenstein ) is located in Saint-Etienne-des-Champs in the Puy-de-Dôme in the French region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Its construction took place at the end of the Neolithic . There are several dolmens of this name in France ( Dolmen Pierre de la Fade (Blessac) , Pierre Fade de Ménardeix ). In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The Dolmen de la Pierre-Fade is one of the few megalithic monuments that, like the Dolmen de la Pierre-Brûlée , are partly located in an artificial oval mound of 8.5 × 6.6 m. Like most dolmens in the south of France , this one is a simple structure with small dimensions. It is about 3.0 m long, 1.65 m wide and unusually high at 2.4 m. The protruding capstone measures 2.6 × 2.2 m and weighs more than 6 tons. It is supported on the sides by four slightly inwardly inclined supporting stones (one pair on each side). The no longer original entrance is in the southeast.

The multi nachgenutzte Dolmen ( Bronze (1200-700 v. Chr.) And Iron Age (500 v. Chr.)) Gave, in 1975 of its excavation in arrowheads and up to 26 cm long flint daggers .
