The Dolmen of Oeillantes (also Dolmen du Bois Communal called) are a closely neighboring Dolmengruppe northeast of Barjac in the Gard in the region Occitan in southern France . The group consists of seven dolmens , of which dolmens 1 and 2 are the best preserved. The remains of the other dolmens are hidden in the oak forests. In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

  • Dolmen 1 or A is the largest dolmen in the Oeillantes group. Its capstone of 3.5 × 2.8 m is inclined and weighs about 5 tons. ( Location )

  • Dolmen 3 or C has a collapsed capstone. The 3.0 m long support stone slabs on the side have fallen over. ( Location )

Three dolmens from the group were protected as Monument historique in 1889 .

Nearby are the five dolmens of the Déveze group and the three destroyed dolmens of Serre de Fabre .
