Johann Konrad Eberlein

Johann Konrad Eberlein (born April 12, 1948 in Nuremberg ) is a German- Austrian art historian .

Life

From 1969 Eberlein studied art history, history and classical archeology in Erlangen, Munich, Freiburg / Breisgau and Bonn. He completed the dissertation he had begun with Günter Bandmann after his death in 1978 in Würzburg.

Further professional positions were in Munich, Frankfurt , Innsbruck, Kassel (where he received his habilitation in 1992), Bern, Salzburg and finally Graz. From 1998 until his retirement in 2012 he was professor of art history at the Art History Institute of the University of Graz .
