The Dolmen of Cantegrel (also called Roc del Cayre or Dolmen of Saint-Chamassy ) is located in the forest near the eponymous courtyard and the Dordogne , south of Saint-Chamassy in the Dordogne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The dolmen with anteroom ( French dolmen à vestibule ) has a massive, almost 1.0 m thick capstone, which is strongly rounded in the rear area. It is supported by four support plates.

It was examined in 1883. The excavations revealed the presence of a headless skeleton and a flint .

The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 2008 .
