Chez Moutaud dolmen
The Dolmen of Chez Moutaud (also called Chez Monteau) and its " Menhir indicateur" are located near the D10 road in Saint-Auvent in the west of the Haute-Vienne department in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The large, somewhat triangular ceiling plate lies at an angle on three preserved supporting stones, which makes the dolmen reminiscent of Cornish or Welsh Quiots or Irish tripod dolmens .
The small menhir indicateur is about 40.0 m away .
The dolmen was classified as a historic monument in 1940 .
