Kervehennec dolmen

The two dolmens of Kervehennec , the Mané-Han and the Petit Kerambel, are north of the D781 road and of Saint-Philibert in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The Mané-Han dolmen

The Mané-Han dolmen is behind the Kervehennic farm. They are the remains of a dolmen of unknown type made of granite , which is still largely in its tumulus on a small hill. The approx. 3.0 x 2.0 meter capstone and a few supporting stones lying around are preserved or visible.

The Dolmen du Petit Kerambel

Le Petit Kerambel

The Dolmen du Petit Kerambel is located east of the Mané-Han at a place called Kerambel. It is a passage dolmen ( French dolmen à couleur ) covered by vegetation , the largely preserved base of which lies partly in its tumulus. The cover plates are largely in situ .

The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 1927 .

Nearby is the Kerran dolmen .
