The Loubressac dolmen is located near Mazerolles , south of Civaux in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in the southeast of the Vienne department in France . Along the Ruisseau de Gobert watercourse , west of Lussac-les-Châteaux, the D114 departmental road meanders, on which the remains of the dolmen , which was damaged during the renovation of the roadside, lie near a pond. In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The capstone, which was once five meters long, has broken and fallen into the chamber. Many of the 10 bearing stones fell over. The access is in the east. The chamber has a size of 4.0 by 2.5 m. Adults and children with ceramics and flint tools were buried in it. Most of the stones are made from the local white limestone , with weathered depressions. The large stone at the back of the chamber is made of dark granite .
