The ideal “dolmen with corridor” ( French dolmen à couloir ) here in the tumulus

The two dolmens of Pen-Nioul (also called Penn Nioul or Dolmen of Nioul) are located near the Pointe de Nioul, in the extreme south of the Île-aux-Moines in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The Gangdolmen ( French dolmen à couloir ) of Pen-Nioul, which are roughly aligned along an east-west axis, are separated from each other by about 250 m.

The northern dolmen is a P-shaped complex of 2.5 × 1.5 m, which is not uncommon in the region, consisting of 14 small supporting stones and the remains of a corridor consisting of four stones. The ceiling panels are missing.

The approximately 2.5 m long and 1.8 m wide oval southern structure consists of nine bearing stones (two are missing), two preserved corridor stones and a displaced, slipped ceiling slab. Two large plates form the floor.
