Dolmen of Wilsen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The extended dolmen of Wilsen are located between the districts of Wilsen and Wilser Hütte, from Kuchelmiß . They are north of the L11 (road) from Langenhagen to Kuchelmiß in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . They are Neolithic megalithic systems with the Sprockhoff numbers. 382 and 383. The large stone graves of the extended dolmen type were located in rolling stone hills and were built between 3500 and 2800 BC. As plants of the funnel beaker culture .

They were excavated by Ewald Schuldt in 1964 and partially restored. The investigation showed that both systems were reused by the carriers of the spherical amphora culture .

Wilsen 1 ( also called Wilsener Hütte, site 3) has the spr. No. 383. The north-south oriented facility is located on a hill that was again provided with a rolling stone packing, which unfortunately can no longer be recognized by vegetation. The capstone with six bowls was also put back on. The chamber is 1.4 m high, 2.1 m long and 1.2 m wide. The board consists of pebbles , annealed flint and clay screed . In addition to charcoal, 57 pieces of ceramics, three cross cutters , three blades , an arrowhead , two spherical amphoras, a wide-mouthed and a high pot as well as a thick-nosed ax , a blowstone and a blade scraper and a flint sickle were found.

Wilsen 2 ( also called Wilsener Hütte, site 25) has the spr. No. 382 and is severely disturbed . Of the north-west-south-east oriented system located on a hill, only a few stones lying on and on the hill remain, which do not reveal any structure. At least it was found that the system was 2.2 m long and 1.3 m wide. Their hall consisted of red sandstone slabs and clay screed. Charcoal was found next to human bones. The additions consisted of 68 shards, a flat and a rock ax, a spherical amphora, a spherical bowl and two handle scrapers.
