Domenico Campana

Domenico Campana (born February 24, 1929 in Reggio Calabria ) is an Italian film journalist , writer and director .

Life

Campana is a journalist and worked as a film critic ; he shot and was responsible for numerous news reports for Italian television. From 1969 he was also active as a director and screenwriter in this profession; In 1980 he shot a fictional story for the first time. La stagione delle piogge about the murder of Archbishop Óscar Romero , which was also created for the screen in 1984 , received a lot of attention. His only film that was also shown in the cinema , however, remained largely unknown.

As a writer and author, he worked on a play, the 1964 I giorni dell'amore , and published seven novels. The crime thriller The Lights of the Siren also appeared in German and was filmed.
