Dominik Schulz (born March 16, 1992 in Munich ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

Dominik Schulz's father, Karsten Schulz , is also a former tennis professional. As a junior, Schulz achieved some promising results. Among other things, he was in the singles semi-finals of the French Open in 2009   and doubles in the finals of the Australian Open in 2010 . His highest position in the junior ranking was a tenth place in June 2009.

In his career with the pros he scored five double victories on the Future Tour, he never won a single title. His best result in a challenger tournament was the double semi-final in Fürth 2013. He had his only appearance on the ATP World Tour together with Richard Becker at the Power Horse Cup in Düsseldorf in May 2013. There they lost their first round game against Frederik Nielsen and André Sá with 2 : 6 and 2: 6. In 2014 he played his last professional tournament.

At the Isar Open in Pullach im Isartal , which was held for the first time in 2018 , a tournament in the highest Challenger tournament category, Schulz took on the role of tournament director.
