Richard Becker (born January 29, 1991 in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

As a junior, Becker reached the quarter-finals of the French Open and Australian Open in 2009 . His best placement on the junior ranking was a 28th place that same year.

As a professional, he mainly played on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . He has celebrated four single and two double victories on the Future Tour so far. He had his only appearance on the ATP World Tour in doubles with Dominik Schulz , at the Power Horse Cup in Düsseldorf in May 2013. There they lost their first round game against Frederik Nielsen and André Sá with 2: 6 and 2: 6. In the period that followed, he suffered frequent injuries and had to undergo shoulder surgery in 2015. He has not played a match since then and dropped out of the world rankings in 2016 .

Becker played in the 2nd Bundesliga tennis for TV Espelkamp-Mittwald .
