Dominique Blake

Dominique Blake (born February 15, 1987 in Mount Vernon ) is a Jamaican 400-meter sprinter.

Born in the USA, she grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1999 she migrated to New York and later received an athletic scholarship from Pennsylvania State University . In 2006 she was banned for nine months because a doping test was positive for ephedrine .

At the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2010 , she won the gold medal with the 4 x 400 meter relay of Jamaica. She also took part in the Commonwealth Games 2010 , where the season did not reach the finals. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2012 , she reached the semifinals and just missed the finals. She was nominated for the 2012 Olympics, but the Olympic elimination drug test was positive for methylhexanamine and she was banned for six years.
