Don Potter is an American musician and record producer from Nashville . A longtime producer for Wynonna Judd , he became known as "the man who invented the Judds sound".

Live and act

Through an uncle, Potter learned to play the piano as a child. His grandmother took him to church services, where they sang old gospel songs , which he played and sang at home.

Since the late 1960s he worked as a singer, guitarist, songwriter, recording artist and producer and has worked with artists such as Elton John , Mark Knopfler , Chuck Mangione and Hank Williams Jr. worked. His musical career began as an acoustic guitarist on the 1971 album Friends and Love - a Chuck Mangione Concert .

In addition to numerous CD releases of his own music, he has written many magazine articles and a book on worship called Facing the Wall .

At the age of 35, Potter found his Christian faith and now wanted to make music for the glory of God. Increasingly he understood that he not only played a musical instrument, but that he is himself an instrument of God that makes music. His website emphasizes his activity as a worship leader in church parishes, where he tries in the style of so-called prophetic worship (German: prophetic worship ) to listen to God in every event and to be guided by the Holy Spirit .
