Don Wright
Don Wright (actually Donald Ernest Wright; born April 26, 1959 ) is a former Australian hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance and was also used in the 4-by-100-meter relay because of his sprinting strength .
In 1977 he won bronze at the Pacific Conference Games .
At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 , he was eighth over 110 m hurdles and seventh in the Australian 4 x 100 meter relay.
In 1982 he won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane with his personal best of 13.58 s, and in 1983 he was eliminated in the semifinals of the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki .
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he reached the semifinals.
In 1985 he finished fourth at the Athletics World Cup in Canberra , and in 1986 he again won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh .
At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1987 in Indianapolis, he failed over 60 m hurdles in the preliminary run.
From 1983 to 1989 he was Australian champion seven times in a row.
