Donal Ryan

Donal Ryan (* 1976 or 1977 near Nenagh ) is an Irish writer .

Life

Ryan studied civil engineering and law at Limerick University and was with the State Agency for Workers' Rights until 2014. He lives in Castletroy with his wife and two children.

Ryan's first novels were rejected 47 times before Lilliput Press published The Spinning Heart in 2012 and Ryan's first novel, The Thing about December , a year later . In 2015 and 2016, Diogenes published the German translations The Case with December and The Faces of Truth in the order in which they were created.
