Donal Smith

Donal Smith ( Donal Ian Brice Smith; born February 4, 1934 ) is a former New Zealand middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

In 1958 he finished fifth over 880 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was eliminated in the quarter-finals despite his personal best of 1: 48.4 minutes.
