Donatella Di Pietrantonio

Donatella Di Pietrantonio (born January 5, 1962 in Arsita , Teramo province ) is an Italian writer .

biography

Di Pietrantonio moved to L'Aquila to study , where she graduated from the local university with a degree in dentistry in 1986 . She has been living in Penne in the province of Pescara for some time , where she works as a children's dentist.

Di Pietrantonio published her debut novel in 2011, My mother is a river , the plot of which is set in her home country. In 2013 she published Bella mia , a novel that tells of the tragic earthquake in L'Aquila in 2009 . He was nominated for the Premio Strega and won the Premio Brancati in 2014 .

In 2017 Di Pietrantonio published her third novel: Arminuta . This also takes place in Abruzzo and tells of a young girl whose family life changes from one day to the next when they bring their supposed parents back into their real family, about which they knew nothing.
