Donis Escober (born February 3, 1981 in San Ignacio ) is a Honduran football goalkeeper . The national player is under contract with CD Olimpia .

Career

The goalkeeper began his sporting career at CD Olimpia , where he got a regular place early on. His achievements brought him in 2002 the call to the national team, where he made his debut on May 2, 2002 against Japan. However, Escober did not manage to build on his successes at club level, making his club mate Noel Valladares , with whom he alternates in the league between the posts, preferred in the national team. The situation changed at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 , where national coach Reinaldo Rueda entrusted him with the regular place.

Escober was nominated for both the 2010 World Cup and the 2014 World Cup , but was only a substitute behind Valladares in both tournaments and was not used.
