Donka Mincheva
Donka Mintschewa ( Bulgarian Донка Минчева ; born May 9, 1973 in Karlovo ) is a former Bulgarian weightlifter .
Career
Mintschewa won the bronze medal in the class up to 48 kilograms at the 1991 World Championships . In 1992 she was third. Then she landed in places four to six until she won the world championship title at the 1999 World Championships with 192.5 kg. In 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000 she was European champion, in 1991 she was second and in 1997 and 2005 third. In 2000 she took part in the Olympics but had no valid attempt. Shortly before the 2008 Olympic Games, she was tested positive for metandienone in a doping control and banned for four years.
