Half-timbered house

The half-timbered house Donker Straße 180 is in the Bettrath-Hoven district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The building was built in the 18th century. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach under No. D 008 on June 2, 1987 .

location

Donker Strasse, recorded in 1812 as “Donker Communalweg”, was the main thoroughfare through the Donk as early as the Middle Ages . House no. 180 is set in an old, preserved only in residual substances today settlement group of farms and single houses that from a development area are surrounded with family houses.

architecture

The property is a gable - independent half-timbered house built in the 18th century in a three-aisled construction with an attic in the gable area . Opened lengthways in seven compartments . The half-hipped roof is towed on both sides of the eaves up to window height on the ground floor. The framework is emphasized throughout with nailed-on boards. A dial above the front door with the inscription of the former owner, a watchmaker : 1848 JPK (önes).
