Donncha Fintan O'Callaghan (born March 24, 1979 in Cork ) is an Irish rugby union player who plays in the second row . He is active for the Irish national team and the province of Munster .

O'Callaghan by an alley

O'Callaghan went through the youth national teams in the country and won, among other things, the U19 World Cup in 1998. In the same year he ran for Munster for the first time. With the province he has won the Magners League once and the Heineken Cup twice . He made his debut for the national team at the 2003 Six Nations against Wales . At the Grand Slam of the Irish at the Six Nations in 2009 , he was used in all games.

In 2005 O'Callaghan was called to the ranks of the British and Irish Lions for the first time and has served three official assignments. Also in 2009 he was part of the selection team for their tour to South Africa . In the first test against the "Springboks" he was substituted on.
