Edith Memmel

Edith Memmel (born May 2, 1951 in Pfändhausen ) is a German politician in the Greens .

Life

In 1978 she completed her training as a ceramist . Three years later she did her master craftsman examination in Landshut . Since 1980 she has been working independently in the ceramics trade. Today she runs two craft businesses in Burgstall ( Kronach ) and in Sassnitz on the island of Rügen .

Memmel has been guild master in the Bavarian pottery and ceramics guild since 1992 . She is also a member of UnternehmensGrün .

Memmel lives with her husband in Mitwitz and has two daughters.

politics

From 1986 to 1990 she was a member of the state parliament of the Free State of Bavaria . In 1992 Memmel became a councilor in the market town of Mitwitz. It was until 2004.

Memmel has been a district councilor in the Kronach district since 1996 . Since 2020 she has been the second deputy of the district administrator in Kronach. In the state elections in Bavaria in 2018 , she ran for the Greens in the constituency of Kronach, Lichtenfels , where she won 10.6% of the first votes.
