Six Nations 2009 was the tenth edition of the annual Six Nations rugby union tournament . Fifteen games took place on five weekends from February 7th to March 21st, 2009 . Tournament winner was Ireland, which reached the Grand Slam for the second time after 1948 with victories against all other participants , and also the Triple Crown with victories against all British teams .

Since the Lansdowne Road stadium in Dublin was not available due to renovation work, the Irish games were played in Croke Park as in 2007 and 2008 .
