After the exclusion of France in 1932, the Five Nations rugby union tournament (now the Six Nations ) continued as the Home Nations Championship with four British teams until 1939 . The tournament of 1938 took place between January 15th and March 19th. The tournament winner was Scotland , which achieved the Triple Crown with victories against all other participants .
