The 1985 edition of the annual Five Nations rugby union tournament ( Six Nations since 2000 ) took place on six match days between February 2 and April 20. The tournament winner was Ireland , which achieved the Triple Crown with victories against all British teams . Since the Irish only reached a draw against France, they missed the second Grand Slam after 1948.
