Six Nations 2002 was the third edition of the annual Six Nations rugby union tournament . On five weekends from February 2 to April 7, 2002, 15 games were played. The tournament winner was France , which managed the Grand Slam for the seventh time with victories against all other teams .

Alternative final table
Six Nations is the only major rugby union competition that does not use the usual bonus point system. In this the points are distributed as follows:
- 4 points if you win
- 2 points if there is a tie
- 0 points in the event of a loss (before possible bonus points)
- 1 bonus point for four or more successful attempts , regardless of the final score
- 1 bonus point if you lose less than seven points
Opponents of this system criticize that the Six Nations result would be distorted in an inadmissible way. If the bonus point system had been used in this event and all games had ended with the same result, England would have been the tournament winner, despite the French Grand Slam:
